In FP documentation maps, I envision the need to include images that may not be on user's hard drives. Obviously, if we reference an image that only exists on our own hard drives, we will be the only ones to see them.
However, images that are available online could be referenced in our maps so anyone who has an internet connection will be able to see them.
Examples of images that would be useful throughout the documentation might be
Enter key
Insert key
mouse
mouse wheel
FP icon
etc
Such images would be used a lot to explain FP features. Images might enhance the text. If we had a respository to such images it might save us from continually reinventing the wheel.
Maybe even images of the menubar menus - geared to a clean installation (to avoid confusion of our own personalized shortcut key assignments).

There is a folder of images used in the tutorial. We will not use images related to mouse or keyboard action. But we will use images related to snapshots of part of the Freeplane window or for example snapshots of the preferences window to help out in the explanation of certain details.
Currently there are a few subfolders in the image folder:
doc
ken
key
mouse
other
I would put all images under one folder. The doc folder is the one that has images related to the type we will use.
Do you agree?

I do not see any sense in current folder structure. Moving images to other folders we need to consider also all other maps which could reference them and either delete all such maps or fix them too.

Referring to the english version of all four mindmaps, there are 5 total file images used. One image is repeated in Applications and Functions
Tutorial - 4 images
Documentation 0 images
Applications 1 images
Functions - 1 image
These 5 images are referenced also in the Japanese and Dutch (Dutch has translated image) versions of Tutorial, Functions and Applications mindmaps.
All other images (mouse and keyboard action) are used only for online mindmaps
Since we are practically rebuilding the Tutorial mindmap, should put all new images directly under the "Images" folder? I can fix the referenced images for the Japanese and Dutch verision. and eliminate the subfolders.

These are images used in the current Tutorial mindmap.

maggv,
Thanks for the icons. But for users to see them on their machines, don't these have to be available either in the FP install or online?

Yes, feel free to improve the structure and the content.
