    Hello,

    I'm using freeplane version 1.5.18.

As I layout my thoughts in a mind map I want to be able to quickly jot down each thought without initially linking them. Floating Nodes are perfect as I begin my mindmap. But to each floating node I may want to add child nodes to that floating node as I begin to make connections.

    1. How can I add child nodes to a floating node?
    2. How can I add existing floating nodes to become child nodes of another floating node?

    Thank you.

How can I add child nodes to a floating node?

In windows, press insert -- as you would on a regular node.

drag and drop -- click left mouse button , drag to right side of target node (right side of node will turn gray) , let off mouse button. This is also normal procedure for standard nodes.
