    Hi,

I use cmd batch files to open Freeplane files at a specific node.
I'm using FreeplanePortable and it looks like this:

    START freeplanePortable.exe mindmap.mm#ID_123456

It used to work fine but I guess since the update 1.5.15 it seems not to be working any more.
I've tried various suggested options I've found like
    START "freeplanePortable.exe" "mindmap.mm"#ID_123456"
but it is not working with the node ID (the correct mindmap opens fine).
Same problem when I use the installed version.

Has something changed to pass on the node ID?

I think this was a very usefull feature and it would be nice to get it working again.

    Thanx,
    Roman

I also noticed but was not entirely sure

This is a great feature to hyperlink a node, from another program

Please open a bug report. I found the problem and I'll commit the patch afterwards.

Its the same and only feature - be able to open freeplane directly into a specific node. I believe this is what makes node-URIs work in other programs. not easy to explain, see this demo video:

    https://streamable.com/1il2

I'ts a great way to put a hyperlink in a word document or excel document, that jumps into a freeplane node (opens freelpane, opens map, selects the node of the hyperlink). I'v only used it a few times (all my notes are inside freelpane, so little word/excel), but for the few times used, it was really great.

This makes possible to integrate freeplane easily with other programs. (very similar to what others have recently done with zotero hyperlinks - this is freeplane hyperlinks)

Hi, thank you for explaining! I've tried it and it really works great.

At the moment I'm using FreeplanePortable so I probably will stick to the cmd option for now. But it's a really good option if you want to link directly form another program.

      Cheers,
      Roman
