Could you please upload the map you used in the video so that I have a chance to reproduce the bug playing with it?

Videos without maps are not enough as bug reports.

      mindmap

  • Dimitry Polivaev

Also attach your auto.properties because the behavior might depend on them

  • Dimitry Polivaev

Unfortunately I can not see any bugs when I open the map you provided.
Could you please give more detailed instructions or upload a video with this map?

there is a video is the first post

      • Dimitry Polivaev

Yes, and it looks like the video uses another map.
I was not able to see any strange behaviors with the map you attached.
I do not know which node I should drag and how I shouljd drag it to see any jumps.

Check this video. I create a whole new map. Behaviour is the same

Well I have no clues either what exactly cause the behaviour. But if I drag and drop a little bit, I usually get a hit :)

      See video

In this video I try the same with normal nodes. Nothing happens. But as soon as I introduce floating nodes, the maps jumps accasionall, when I drag those floating nodes. Sometimes it jumps often, sometimes less.

3 computers, all the same behaviour.

I also need your log file and information about your OS, your Java version.
Currently no fix is possible because I can not see anything wrong.

I played a bit with a floating node here and the bug happened. Also, it's interesting to notice that, after "the jump", if you hover over the floating node, the Oval handle doesn't appear.

It also happens here, but only with a speedy mouse gesture of drag and drop. Is it possible that the mouse gesture creates some extra behaviours which are related with the mechanical part or light flashing of a mouse?

  • Dimitry Polivaev

Great hint about the speedy mouse.
I can reproduce the bug if I release the mouse button before I stop moving the mouse.
However if I stop moving the mouse before the mouse button is released the bug does not happen.

How does it match your observations?

  • abc163

    abc163 - 2021-10-01

Yes, that's correct! If I can control the mouse the bug won't come out. And this bug does not occur all the time, and it gives me an impression that it only happens unexpectedly, particularly when I am not sure how I can control my mouse gesture.

  • Dimitry Polivaev

    I think I got it
