On the next turn, those ships are now under your control, can be remerged into other fleets successfully and ordered to move to another system. Even if the UI is fixed to now allow this, the server shouldn't accept such an order... (And this also makes me wonder about other such illegal orders that affect other players' property sent by clients... After some additional testing, to reproduce: Start a new game, with a 10 star galaxy. Send your fleet to a system with an enemy fleet. Drag one of your ships onto New Fleet.
