Have tried two different KBs and mice with no joy. Repeatable 2) While in game, if select a saved game and load ... the refreshed galaxy will place the planets to the left and the names to the right with large displacement between the planets and their names .... game will be in frozen state requiring a task manager end task. Repeatable 3) At turn 81 and upon clicking turn button, game flashes "downloading new game state" and crashes to desktop. AI_1 through 3 Logs all show: "2009-01-24 21:47:31,606 DEBUG AI : ClientNetworking::NetworkingThread() : Networking thread will be terminated due to disconnect exception "An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host" I have enabled appropriate Firewall settings (and have played thru day 81 wo crash). Firewall (Comodo) has not reported any problems/blocked access. Event viewer has not logged any info and see no evidence of any MS type error reporting. Have enclosed copy of game save. Repeatable (cannot get past day 81 crash) Can tell lot of effort has gone into this and am aware its alpha/beta product but any of these three issues is a stopper IMO. ltb...@ya... Doing this will resubmit the comment. I can't reproduce your misplaced system name text issue. Loading save 4a then loading save 5 works fine, and everything is located where it should be, as far as I can see. Regarding autocentring the map, this is done to centre the view on your homeworld when you start a new game. When saving a game, the position and zoom of the map is saved, and is restored when you load a game. The quick play guide is for v0.3.0 which is quite outdated. As you note, there is no "add to queue" to click... This was a button in v0.3 that has been removed. Now you double-click items on the buildable items list to add. Note that clicking on planets when the sidepanel is open but the production screen is not open does nothing. You can't select a planet this way. If you have the sidepanel open, and then press F4 or the production button at the top right to open the production view, often no planet is selected by default. This is a bug, but you should click on the rotating planet graphic that is surrounded by a green circle to select the planet any time no planet is selected when the production screen is open, or when you want to change the selected planet in a system with two or more selectable planets. Then you can double-click items in the buildable items list to add them to the queue at the selected planet. If you have the sidepanel closed when you open the production screen, by F4 or the top-right button, it should auto-select a planet. I don't know why this only happens if the sidepanel isn't open before opening the producutions screen. Again, a bug. It would be nice if sourceforge let one attach a file to a comment, but this may not be possible. It might work if you registered and were logged in to sourceforge when commenting. Updating the manual and quick play guides would be nice, but there are higher priorities for the people who know enough to do so. If you're interested in updating them, feel free to do so on the wiki. Adding them to the game as in-game help is a good idea. It has to do with an invalid character in the source code that the UTF-8 text code in v0.3.11 doesn't like. In SVN, that character has been fixed. I can't reproduce either of your other bugs.
