Updating from FreeNAS-i386-embedded-0.686.1.2514.img To FreeNAS-i386-embedded-0.686.1.2527.img renders the system unusable, showing lots of xml parser errors on the screen while booting.
Im afraid i reinstalled quickly to freenas stable as i use it for storage to my mediacenter and my girlfriend was not pleased :D it broke down hehe.
I had some minor problems before when i had to restart samba manually after i lost my shares, due to i recall reading somewhere problems with harddisk space.
Sorry to be vague here, i should have saved some info for you guys.
I have this hunch that i was running out of disk space on the boot partition and thats why the upgrade failed.
Maybe an NFR? Custom boot partition size for embedded say choose between standard/64M/128M
Hope this helps
Regards
Dirk
