#223 iscsi and globalsan iSCSI initiator Mac Os X

As reported by several other people in the forum the Freenas iSCSI target works fine with the Microsoft Windows initiator

However it does not work at all with the GlobalSan Mac Os X initiator or apparently with Vmware server prodcuts.

A message on the forum suggests this may be due to Freenas not supporting reserve/release commands.

I think we can't do very much in this case. We are using the NetBSD iSCSI-Target implementation, and if this doesn't support such features we are not able to do something. Sorry. Maybe you can contact the NetBSD developers.
