#196 USB install - no boot/loader

boot from USB doesn't work with version 0.68 and 0.685b.

version 0.671 install is OK - boots from USB stick

version 0.684b install results in error
"gunzip: stdout: Broken pipe" see also [ 1705105 ]

booting from CD - OK
Installation procedure - passed with no errors
removing disk and rebooting.

Booting from USB stick not possible.

the following error message occured.

error 1 lba 43968
No boot/loader

followed by an similar no kernel error.

Version 0.671 installation procedure is about 10 sec while the version 0.68 about 1 minute.

Same problem here on a AMD Geode NX1750/PCChips 848A system:
installation on USB without any error messages,
Booting produces the error mentioned above.....

But.......
When I try to boot my Dell Lattitude D610 from the USB stick installed on the AMD Geode system, it boots fine :?

Did you set up your BIOS to boot from USB? I'm not familiar with your system, but make sure your BIOS supports it.
