Images that worked between Sept 2020 adn Nov 4, 2020 all of a sudden turned into a red X. Inspection of the child node shows that the link path to the image is still valid but it still shows as a red X.

I can Manually fix it by re-adding the image from the path that is already shown in the child. This will be a ton of work to do across all my mind maps. Is there a way to force a refresh? Do you have a theory of why displaying the image would break if the path is correct?

Note the Long Node html tab shows a valid link to the image file:

If I re-link the file using insert image then the image comes back adn the HTML code view is empty.
It looks like my LongNode formatted text AND images both were converted to HTML code and this broke how both the text and images were displayed

    Using FreeMind Version 1.0.1
    JAVA version 8 update 261 build 1.8.0_261-b12

Both longnode formatted text (colors and bullets) and embedded images worked between Sept 2020 until Nov 4, 2020.

LongNode text broke on Nov 4, 2020 (can manually add back the formatted text)
Embedded images broke on Nov 5, 2020 (can manually re-add images)

It looks like both node types were auto-matically converted to html code and the text shows as html code in the longNode but images show as red X now. Creating a new sibling node and Re-adding the image will show the image and the html code tab on the long node is empty. The old broken node shows the correct path in the html tab but shows a red X.

Manually adding back all these child nodes is very time consuming. Major defect; wastes productivity if there is no automatic fix (not practical to manually recreate every node)

    Hi,

funny enough, that your linked image is broken...
Can you send me such a map, please? Then I can have a look.

    HTH, Chris
