'Preferences' for Freemind are currently (0.9.0 beta20) under the tools menu. I think it is more standard and therefore more intuitive to have it under the 'Edit' menu. It also makes more sense linguistically "Edit your preferences' rather than "Find the preferences tool".

It seems unclear whether "Edit" or "Tools" is a more standard place for preferences. To find out what actually is more standard requires research; it requires to collect a list of software that uses either option. Judging from [1], the titles and structure of menus can even vary between operating system with one application, in this case Firefox.

In Windows, Firefox has the options menu in "Tools" menu.

The menu "Preferences" was in "Edit" menu in FreeMind 0.7.1.

I've been working on this bug. Should I continue to try and move the Preferences over or should Preferences be left in the Tools menu?
