    Checking Java Version...

    And there it stops.

During start I get the message:" The mind map you are trying to open was created with an older version of FreeMind, stored in an old format. Freemind is about to convert this mind map into its current format.
After the mind map is converted and saved by this version of FreeMind, it can no longer be opened in older versions of FreeMind. Should FreeMind convert and open the mind map Yes/No"

Point is that I have used FreeMind only one time earlier. This time I didn't open a file with FreeMind. I just started FreeMind. So, I have no idea why I get this message.

I can open and run Vuze, which runs on Java.

Checked in the hidden files and found: .freemind. In it there is a file called autoproperties. One of the lines says: onStartIfNotSpecified=MindMap\:/home/ecmporter/Learning Perl 5 e.mm.
Removed the line and restarted FreeMind. That worked.
    Btw, this is a bug.
