#1256 Cannot see text in node when editing

Hello,

when editing a node, I cannot see the text fully. In the screenshot below and attached, I've typed "Testing":

To reach this view, here were my steps:

1. Open Freemind
2. Press Insert
3. Type "Testing"

Actual behaviour:
I cannot see the text fully. It's like there's lots of padding or margin covering the text with white.

Expected behaviour:
That I could read the text clearly.

After editing the node, when I press Enter, I can see the text fully.

Running on Arch Linux. OpenJDK version "1.8.0_92".

Workaround: go to Tools - Preferences - Appereance - Look and Feel: Metal

Confirmed as a workaround.

The value I had set was: GTK+

Same here. The issue takes effect with any theme other than Metal.

No issue with "ugly" themes: Metal, Motif, Nothing, CDE/Motif
Works partiall with: Nimbus
Big issue with "beautiful" themes: GTK+ and GTK

6 years later, the problem persists, but the workaround still works :D
