Crash on startup: Paramater not valid

FreeMeter with Icons v1.5.2873
Message: Parameter is not valid.

It was previously shutdown normally. No troubleshooting done yet (let me know and I can clear some files)

Of course we now know that this happens when you uncheck "show desktop meter" and then exit and restart. Something about the window parameters. Other than this minor issue I love it!

To allow you to start the meter again without losing /all/ your settings you can:
in the config.xml changing
<WindowIsVisible>False</WindowIsVisible> to
<WindowIsVisible>True</WindowIsVisible>
will allow it to start up normally, but you do lose the screen position and size.

Well, you could olso just delete the config file, and it'll start up just fine again.

I'm having this problem too every time I restart my computer
This started happening for me as after in upgraded to xp service pack 3. BUT, my other machines running xp sp3 do not have this issue as freemeter was install/run after the updrade.
check the forums - there is a bunch of workarounds to this problem
