I'm runing with administrator account and have the same problem, with FreeMeter on, the system do not shutdown.
I1m using Windows XP Home Edition SP2 with updates.

yes, i'm aware of this bug, but since i'm rewriting everything i'm not able to check into that... so until next release that will bring major changes to FreeMeter you've gotta stick with run as admin...

Just tried this again (so I can report another bug) and I couldn't log off as admin with FreeMeter running.

Same here, running XP Media Center Edition on a HP Pavilion dv5000 laptop. Had to manually stop FreeMeter to reboot.
