The FreeMarket project is getting organized. We have started work on a requirements document and a brainstorming page for ideas. To discuss design issues and facilitate better communication, we have started a weekly IRC meeting at 10 PM UTC on irc.openprojects.net channel #freemarket. Anyone interested is encouraged to attend!

We have registered a domain name for our project, http://www.freemarket-project.org where we have put up a new home page. Come take a look and let us know what you think! If you are willing to help with the site or the project contact the developer's mailing list through the link on the home page.

FreeMarket version 0.03 has been released. This version includes real-time streaming quote support and a skeleton for Easy Language server (FEZ). Included in the list of changes are: Datek server which gives real-time streaming quotes, FreeMarket Easy Language (FEZ) server is preliminary but taking shape, GUI now supports multiple timebases (Tick, 1-Min, 5-Min, 15-Min, Hourly, Daily, Monthly), scrolling working correctly - much smoother and quicker, tick data type support, corba enhancements, and lots of bug fixes.
