i have this problem too, but i still have no idea what makes it
happend..
it doesn't matter what movie i play.. it sometimes just
happend and not on specific times...
I cannot access the icon in the taskbar, i can only kill it in
taskman.
if you have anyway to debug it, i will try to run anything, so it
can be debugged and fixed.

Hmmm, strange... I never saw a lockup before... Can you give
me a bit more information about the setup? Wireless/normal
utp, what you were playing at the moment (size > 2 gb or
something). Is there something that can make it clear why it
crashed...
I could make freekiss do some logging to file, but that will
make things quite slow, so perhaps if you could find a way
to reproduce it, i can send you a modified version how to
reproduce it so it will log everything to file instead to
the logtab.

I use normal connected i normal net.
I only play smaller files (350 mb or 700 mb) and it happends
at no specific time.. it just happends.. i have tried reinstall
the computer, but it still didn't help.
I would run such a special version, if it in any way can help.
To me it looks like it goes into some sort of loop but not one
that uses 100% cpu.
If you send me a version that has special debug version, if it
can help in any way.

I just made some modifications to freekiss and uploaded it
to: http://freekiss.sourceforge.net/beta/extdebug.rar
This version creates a C:\FreeKiSS.txt file with the same
information that appears in the log-tab. Now, if FreeKiSS
freezes, and you can't open the logtab to see where it
froze, you can see what happened in the FreeKiSS.txt file.
You should sent that file when you notice the freeze again.
There is no need to turn to level 3, since everything is
logged, even if level 1 is selected. I highly recommend to
keep using level 1, since level 3 is slower (and now, it
will be even slower due to the (temperary) extra logging to
file).

well i have tested and tested with the version you uploaded,
and i seem to have located the bug, to be part of the debug
level 3 and i have had no problem after i changed to level 2, i
have had no problems. so i think that it has someting to do
with level 3.
you should add more txt to level 2 but else it seems its a
level 3 bug only.

That's strange, the txt file logs as level 3, even if the
log level isn't set on level 3. Now, it could be possible
that there is something wrong with the RichEdit I used to
display the loglines (with color). Perhaps it is a good idea
to simply remove it, and let FreeKiSS do the debugging only
to file... I will think a bit about this...
