Hey,
Just to let you guys know that we all are still alive and kickin'. We've been doing some coding and research, making decisions on how to build our first alpha/beta client.
Today marks the day that we begin Win32 coding of the FreeIRC client. With up to 3 developers that may be working on it, we hope to have a working release by the end of the year.
That is all.
I just wanted to say that the project has started to come along very nicely. We've brought onboard another developer, Nick. He will be coding along with redpantz. We should have a stable release of our first client for the BSD operating system by the end of the year.
That is all.
Our developers have finished reading the RFC's and have begun preliminary coding. We will be releasing our pre-alpha release soon. (0.1) Keep tuned for more updates!
Recently, the project has just begun pre-alpha development. Our developers have been reading the RFC's on IRC, and we have began the preliminary designs. Soon we will release a beta version (0.1), for everybody to test. Make sure to tell your friends about The Free IRC project, and join today!
