Gentlemen, Someone in the PLIB development community (which has bitmapped fonts very similar to those of "freeglut") has noticed that the Helvetica 12-point letters "f" and "j" leave very little space (actually, virtually none) to the right and so tend to run into the succeeding letters. To fix this, and to make his text more readable, he increased the widths of those two glyphs by one pixel. An example of his "before" text can be found at http://members.aon.at/mfranz/fgfs_gui8.jpg If you look at the top line ("Show frame rate") and the second and third check boxes from the bottom ("object") you can see the problem. My question is, do we want to do this to "freeglut"? It will make it differ from GLUT in this regard. John F. Fay Technical Fellow, Jacobs/Sverdrup TEAS Group joh...@eg... 850-729-6330 |
