Please note that Cygwin is on the verge of releasing a new major version (1.7), after months of beta testing. Does that sound familliar? I think it would be better to test freeglut with 1.7beta than with the soon-to-be-deprecated 1.5 version. To install Cygwin 1.7 and packages compiled for it, including the X server, go to http://cygwin.com/#beta-test and use the new setup-1.7 program. There is currently a freeglut 2.4.0 package for Cygwin 1.5. It is built for use with the X server: http://cygwin.com/packages/freeglut/ . The maintainer is Yaakov Selkowitz <yselkowitz at users dot sourceforge dot net>. He's very active, so I expect that he will build freeglut 2.6.0 for Cygwin 1.7 as soon as he hears about it. You may contact him to discuss the build procedure. For my part, I plan to release a freeglut-native (non X server based) package of freeglut 2.6.0 for Cygwin 1.7 early next year, to replace my old OpenGL package. - André Bleau, Cygwin's volunteer OpenGL package maintainer. _________________________________________________________________ Windows Live : vos amis voient plus facilement ce que vous faites sur Facebook. http://go.microsoft.com/?linkid=9691826 |
