For version 1 I think we need an event system.

Maybe a simple idea would be another function in plugMain

Event function

params:
integer EventCode
pointer to Data

return values:
integer success/error code

This would be an asynchronous function that could be
called by the host *at any time*. How to handle the
information in events would be up to the plug developer.
