Welcome to the FreeFlashCards wiki!

I created FreeFlashCards to help my (currently) 5 year old daughter learn to read. This program will display a list of the 100 most common words in the english language and speak the word if it is unknown by the player. When the first round is over, the second round consists of the words that were not known, and so on and so on.

If you want to use your own list of words, place them in a text file named "words.txt" right next to the application and it should pick them up!

The decision to use Comic Sans was deliberate, it is apparently the favored font for helping children with dyslexia read more easily.
