On a pure FreeDOS machine (version 1.0) with a
Pentium 100 and 16MB (over 600K free conventional
memory and EMS enabled with Emm386), FreeDOOM exits
to DOS while the DEMO1 music is playing and displays
this error:

The only other indication of trouble I get while
loading is among the initial messages scrolling down
the screen. It says something about not being able
to find C:\FDOS\GAMES\DOOM\CONFIG.CFG.
I could add that classic DOOM I and II work fine on
this machine.

I find in a follow-up test with 32MB instead of 16MB that
the program runs, though it is quite sluggish at points --
noticeably while I'm trying to view and set Options. The
program is supposed to run on 8-16MB, so is there a
recommended DOS configuration that will let it run without
problems?
