Hello- I picked up a Multiplex Engineering T16-008 interface to use with freediag. I have tested it on 3 cars so far, and have had poor results on all. If it weren't for one of the cars, i wouldn't be sure that it was even connected :( (I had to recompile freediag after changing the address to 0x22 as indicated on bottom of http://freediag.sourceforge.net/Scantool-Manual.html) I have the following at my disposal for testing, which I believe use the noted standard 2000 Lincoln LS 3.0 - J1850PWM 2003 Dodge 2500 diesel - J1850VPW 2005 Cadillac CTS-V - J1850VPW The lincoln at least makes some contact with CPU 'L2 connection OK; tring to add SAE J1979 layer... Bad checksum detected: needed 3B got 00 SAEJ1850-PWM Connected. Connection to ECU established Exploring Mode 0x01 supported PIDs (block 0x00)... Bad checksum detected: needed 3B got 00 Exploring Mode 0x02 supported PIDs (block 0x00)... Bad checksum detected: needed 3B got 00 Exploring Mode 0x05 supported PIDs (block 0x00)... diag_l3.c:177: Read/Write timeout. Request failed, retrying... ' But the others don't appear to ever contact the ECU at all, i believe.. See attached screenlogs Thoughts on what to try next? thank you . |
