totals on the bottom line and totals of sub-accounts do not take
the different currencies into account. They just sum together
the numbers, regardless of having one sub-account in e.g.
Swiss franks and other in USD. So instead of having the
numbers converted to the default currency and summed that
way, you end up with meanigless number.

This bug makes the entire currency functionality
useless (you immediately get unbalanced accounts).
Any idea how to solve or timeframe for a new (or cvs)
release which fixes this? (...knowing that I'm not the
only one with not enough time to try to hunt this down
myself!)
Thanks for any update!

I expect I'll fix this issue and release 0.6.1 in 1-2 weeks.
The fix is going to forbid creating an account which has a
different currency from the parent account and, of course,
is going to convert the displayed balance in the account
list screen to the default currency and update the totals
accordingly.

I don't think it's such a good idea. Parent account can be
"All assets" and sub-accounts can be in different
currencies. Do not forbid them please

Does this bug still exist? When I total parent accounts with
children with different currencies the parents are correct
in the default currency.

Unfortunately, I have no means to verify this as I no longer
own a Palm (the original bug report is more than 3 years old).
