    Hi
I cannot fing PyLab, from the web page  https://sourceforge.net/apps/mediawiki/fpdb/index.php?title=Install_in_Windows it states  " can be found via www.scipy.org" I cannot find it.
I'm trying to get running on Vista and I'm new to all this, would love to get it running, I would appreciate help from anyone.  Hope  I can help someday.

    Keep up the good work.

    Thanks

Numpy and Matplotlib are required to use graphing. Other than that, they are not.

I believe the question was posed due the installation instructions specifically stating that PyLab needs to be installed in addition to the other two that you referenced ( Numpy & Matplotlib ). For example, one of the instruction steps states as follows:

"# 1.5 Install numpy, matplotlib, and PyLab"

Please advise. If PyLab is not actually required then perhaps it's requirement should be removed from the Wiki. If it is still needed then perhaps a valid location for it's download could be provided as I too found no evidence of a download kit for PyLab in the target location specified. TIA.

    Regards,

Geez, nobody can say whether or not the installation steps are correct or not???? And if they are correct, where to find the aforementioned PyLab?

    go here:

    http://sourceforge.net/projects/fpdb/files/

download the windows installer. It's not automated for all steps, but it does correctly download all the software needed and run it's installation steps.

It looks like the correct answer to "where is pylab" is something along the lines of .. "numpy and matplotlib are parts of pylab, and the only parts you need currently."
