What would be helpful is if 4pane changed the title of the taskbar entry to the name of the directory that the user is in. If you have three 4pane windows open the taskbar reads "4pane" for each one. Other FMs like Thunar and PCManFM change the taskbar title so that you can tell which FM is in which dir.

    Hi Derek,

It's easy to fix, so I've implemented this in e166a50 as an option that's turned on by default.

However, outside debugging, I've never needed to open multiple 4Pane instances; I just add a new tab to the existing one.

    Regards,

    David

Thanks for the quick response on this one. I have occasion to open multiple file windows for various reasons:

    1. When other applications open the default file manager (i.e. firefox downloads window "open containing folder") they will open a new 4pane window.

    2. I am a developer and work on many projects simultaneously. It's nice to have 1 file manager per project with multiple tabs for each dir (source, test, debug, logs, etc.)

    3. I often open 4pane from the command line and I want to display the directory that I"m in. This will open a new 4pane window.
