I am having the same issue. I updated the parsers and now it tells me some threads only have 3 pictures (whereas the thread itself has many more). The others seem to be stuck on "parsing".

Update:
I am the Anon from the first post
I removed the old version and installed from scratch. Then updated to 1.6.2 this seems to have helped some as many threads are now downloading.
Got an error during update
Cannot remove updater/upd4t3r.exe
FileHandler: Could not rename {1850dfc4-bf87-420f-9124-46e3a973f070}.file to updater/upd4t3r.exe
However something else strange is happening. In some threads, when viewed in Explorer I have duplicate images with the last few characters of the filename replace with (...).
In another thread I have a bunch of files which have no extension and are partly named correctly.
On a side note I do not seem to be able to re-organise tabs by dragging & dropping anymore.

Unsure if it is related but I am guess the filename(...).jpg is similar to 4Chan X's userscript not showing the full original filename just part of the name with (...) appended to it.
Also, on a side note .gif files seem to be downloading once again (but have the naming issue above). I am not sure if it was 4chan's fault as I had seen some say PDF next to the file size.
Additional info Regarding the (...) issue.
It seems that there is a 25 character limit in the listing of the file's original name. If viewed in Firefox with the 4Chan X userscript it show the truncated filename, but upon hovering over with the mouse the full original name is shown. Sadly removing the pointer again reverts to the former issue.
I hope this information helps.

Are you still having issues with 1.6.2?
I am filling folders with files which are 0kb and extentionless but I have to use a process unlocker to remove them :(

Firstly, I would like to wish everyone a Happy New Year!
Secondly, could we have an update on how to fix this problem?
