Removing the Zip field

I am trying to get this set up for a campaign here in Canada so the mapping and zip code functions are not much use to me right now but I would like to track the number of forwarders and sign ups. I have removed the fields from the tamplate but when I try and sign up a new user it gives me an error message:

Please submit your full name, zip code, and email address

is there an easy solution to fix this?

edit out the stuff about 'zip' in the validate_person function in ft/lib/FT/App/CampaignApp.class.php
