#27740 winscp no longer working

using winscp I'm no longer able to connect via scp. after auth I get the error:

Error skipping startup message. Your shell is probably incompatible with the application (Bash is recommended)

please fix this!

Would you be able to provide us with a little more information so that we can better assist you. Would you be able to share your connection settings along with any logs winscp might be able to provide.

winscp is (now !?) working if I started an interactive shell before
if the shell is not started, winscp shows the error (above)
as long as the shell is active, winscp works - if the shell is shutdown, winscp does'nt work any longer

As long as I can see - the welcome text in the shell was changed by SF (related to the sunset of the shell).

I found the issue. I used shell.sourceforge.net as host (for a very very long time), I switched to web.sourceforge.net and winscp is working like expected!
