The SourceForge SFTP server for uploading files for release is misconfigured. It's apparently been misconfigured for a while. FileZilla's recent upgrade no longer hides the misconfiguration. They did specifically add in a fix so you can at least login in the first time, but FRS sends a keyboard interactive authentication request with every upload and download, so you have to login over and over.
The misconfiguration is explained here: https://forum.filezilla-project.org/viewtopic.php?t=64549
Hello,
Thanks for your report, we’re currently investigating the issue on our end.
In the meantime, the best option for a fix is to make sure you’re using FileZilla version 3.70.2, and to add your SSH public key to your account so you can use key-based authentication with FileZilla.
Sincerely,
SourceForge Support
