For many years, my shoddybattle project has hosted a website on SourceForge project web hosting. This has worked fine for more than a decade, until some time in the last month, when it appears that you randomly deleted my website from your file system. I received no warning and the website is just gone. I logged into the SourceForge shell and the project-web directory is just empty!
Can you please help get my project's website back?
Thanks,
Cathy
Hello,
Thank you for letting us know.
I have escalated this to our DevOps team to investigate further.
Sincerely,
SourceForge Support
Hi Cathy,
This year while deprecating legacy PHP services, the site hosted for the shoddybattle project was tested showing no content on the root page and assumed to be unconvertible to static content. That explains the deletion.
We have restored the site to its original state and temporarily permitted PHP operation again. Please take a look to reclaim any data you need, but within 30 days the site will need to be converted to static content as PHP services won't remain on the platform for much longer.
Hello,
We have not heard from you and are now closing this ticket.
If you need any help moving forward, please submit another ticket.
Thank you.
Sincerely,
SourceForge Support
