#26522 Issue with 4.5.0 release #472 bug
Hello Team,
I have been working on installing SDCC 4.5.0 in our TR environment and encountered issues related to dependencies. After verifying previous releases (3.4.0, 4.2.0, and 4.4.0), I confirmed that most sources were available as prebuilt packages that installed correctly via the ./configure script. However, with SDCC 4.5.0, I faced two major dependencies:
boost-1.79.0
gputils-1.5.2
To resolve this, I installed the following packages and compiled them in the TR environment:
/pkg/OSS-boost-1.79.0-OSS-gcc_9.3.0
/pkg/OSS-gputils-1.5.2
Despite this, the SDCC 4.5.0 installation still failed with the same error message. I also attempted to force installation by creating a dynamic link between boost-1.79.0 and SDCC 4.5.0 and exporting relevant variables. Unfortunately, this led to unexpected behavior and additional errors.
Upon further analysis, it appears that there is an existing bug in the SDCC 4.5.0 release, preventing successful installation. Below is the bug reference:

472 | #error boost 1.71 (and possibly earlier but apparently fixed as of boost 1.79.0) bug: clear_vertex followed by remove_vertex could introduce loops into the graph (and omit non-loop edges). See SDCC bug #3772.
Since this is likely an issue with SDCC 4.5.0 itself, we may need to wait for an official fix from the SDCC vendor before proceeding with this installation. Meanwhile, I am also checking internally for possible resolutions.
