I'm building a XUL editor project from scratch. What I have is a beginning, where the user can type in markup and see it on-the-fly. Where I want to go is to build small UI pieces and make sure they work and can be saved to a XPI or to a flat folder system.

The project is XUL/JavaScript based, with a little bit of Python for the build system.

Under https://sourceforge.net/p/verbosio/microxul/code/ci/default/tree/xr-app/ui/content/ I have:

  • a wizards folder for guiding users through multiple pages
  • a pages folder for feature-specific work (such as "Internationalization")
  • a staging folder where I placed sample XUL for individual wizard pages

Some experience with XUL authoring is preferred, but I can teach those who want to learn how to fix bugs in Mozilla Firefox's user interface.
