    Hello everyone!

This post is about a project called Bow Simulator, a tool for bow and arrow physics simulation. Users can put in the parameters of their bow designs and then simulate how it performs, e.g. how efficient it is, what the arrow's velocity will be like and much more. It's written in C++ with a Qt GUI and uses a custom finite element method for the simulation.

I'm currently the only developer, but I would like to make the project a team effort eventually. This post will be about graphics programming, but there are also lots of other things where help would be appreciated.

What I'm looking for specifically right now is someone with more experience in 3D graphics than me. As you can see on this screenshot, the UI contains a 3D view of the bow geometry. The program will soon get a new feature, which is simulating bows that consist of different layers. This means that the 3D view needs a major overhaul. I want to use this opportunity and port it to Qt 3D, a relatively new graphics framework that is part of Qt.

So if you're a graphics programmer looking for a hobby project and willing to look into Qt 3D, just contact me and I'll give you more details.
