Hi,
Don't know if this is the adequate channel, so feel free to link this request to a more appropriate section.

I switched from Classic to Allura and began playing with Settings/Configuration to get an idea of the new features. I installed tools to see what they look like. Then I decided I didn't need some, but I could not find how to uninstall them. All I could do was move them around, changing their order in the menu.

I also tried to unsubscribe from my user account to no avail.

The page at https://sourceforge.net/p/forge/documentation/Docs%20Home/ did not give any clue since some links lead to nowhere (e.g. links to project admin).

Is there a means to uninstall tools? If not, it would be nice to be able to do it (for instance, through drag-and-drop the tool from the "installed area to the "install tool" area).

Is there a comprehensive Allura User's Manual (not an installation or developer manual) somewhere?

Best regards

Every tool item in the https://sourceforge.net/p/PROJECT/admin/tools area has a "Delete" link on it which uninstalls that tool.

I noticed these links. But when I click any, the tool frame temporarily disappears and reappear when I release the mouse button.

It might be a matter of configuration. I checked that cookies were enabled for SourceForge (at least for sourceforge.net).

Last minute: from the page source, I discovered that "Delete" link is in fact a <form> and it needs a very accurate click coordinate to be effective. It might be worth giving a caveat in some doc.

    Question closed.

    Best regards

The UI for the admin tools area will probably be redesigned at some point, which should include making the forms better.

The File tool isn't offering a delete link. Is there a way to remove it?

Greetings, the "Files" tool cannot be uninstalled at the moment.
If you want the tool to be uninstallable I would recommend you to open a new ticket.
