#73 foomatic glibc problem

Can't get foomatic to run. This is a fairly stock
Ubuntu Breezy on x86 host. Attached below is output
from 'foomatic-configure -q -0 2>/dev/null' which is
also preceded by " glibc detected *** double free or
corruption (!prev): 0x0817de18 "

Any help appreciated, (can't print to my Epson C86 or
any other printer for that matter).

$ foomatic-gui
*** glibc detected *** double free or corruption

Unable to read printer database.

$ uname -a
