#51 eacute and Eacute (and possibly dieresis)

I need some help with eacute and Eacute and possibly dieresis as I don't understand the difference between the three.

I'm attaching two files:

1. A screencap of fontforge displaying:
   a. in the first row, fourth from the right, what fontforge calls "eacute", but is a lower case "e" with
   no diacritic.
   b. in the fourth row, ninth from the right, what fontforge calls "degree", but looks like "Eacute".
   c. in the fifth row, twelfth from the right, what fontforge calls "dieresis" but look like "eacute".
2. A screencap from Apple Pages v14.4 (7043.0.93) of what I get when I type <opt>+e+e and <opt>+e+E.</opt></opt>
3. A mac .suit of the font. It is the Charlamagne font I downloaded from https://fontlot.com/charlemagne-font/#google_vignette and modified with fontforge to have lower-case letters, i.e., the capital letters scled down by 70%.

The latter, <opt>+e+E, looks exactly the way I'd like it to, but for the former, <opt>+e+e, the accent is the same size and at the same vertical and horizontal as the former and looks quite odd.</opt></opt>

My ask is: what can I do to get the accent for <opt>+e+e lower over the "E", smaller, and positioned horizontally so that its right extrema is eve woitjh the extrema of the lower-case "E"?</opt>

I'm on a MacBook Air with an Apple M2 processor running MacOS Tahoe 26.6.1 and fontforge v20230101 and Apple Pages v14.4 (7043.0.93).
