No! The kerneli patches have been superceded by
the cryptoapi projects on sourceforge.net, which builds a
newer
version of everything in kerneli, but as a standalone
package
that does not require any kernel patching (it builds and
installs modules).
I am running an encrypted root on two notebook computers
using
the release that was made two days ago, and it works great.
