Cache does not update + suggestion

I know there's a known issue for this with Samba shares but this is happening with a Windows Storage Server 2003 Standard Ed. SP2 NAS solution.
Cache doesn't update on network shares when I formerly didn't have access to all subdirectories but now do. Those subfolders must all be individually be visited and then sometimes that subfolder's details will propagate upwards to the root. Even if I visit each subfolder the root folder will still show the + sign. I can't find any way to "refresh" the root folder. I'd like to suggest a shell extension right click option to "reset foldersize cache".
Here's how you can refresh the cache: Restart the service! You can do this from the Windows Services configuration, or use the Folder Size Control Panel. Maybe not as nice as a Refresh button, but hopefully this helps you...
