Since a couple of days FolderSize dies with the said exit code a short time after I open an explorer window.
sc query tells:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
SERVICE_NAME: foldersize
TYPE : 10 WIN32_OWN_PROCESS
STATE : 1 STOPPED
(NOT_STOPPABLE,NOT_PAUSABLE,IGNORES_SHUTDOWN)
WIN32_EXIT_CODE : 1067 (0x42b)
SERVICE_EXIT_CODE : 0 (0x0)
CHECKPOINT : 0x0
WAIT_HINT : 0x0
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I also receive a popup (see also attached file FolderSizeSvc_0xc0000409.png) that says: The exception unknown software exception (0xc0000409) occurred in the application at location 0x0040ab9e.
There is no Dr. Watson dump.
Is there a kind of debugging/logging version of FolderSize available?
error message popup
Because I found other programs abending with the same exception I have been browsing through the latest software installations.
After I have uninstalled VMware Player, FolderSizeSvc could be started aain and runs now for several hours without any issues except collecting CPU seconds. But that is what I expected.
I should file this issue rather with VMware.
