#28 Error Syncing that should not have errored

I have been using 2.1d7 since it came out and all has
worked well. I just added a new database to sync to my
Palm but had some problems. I added the database, synced
it once and all appeared well. But on the second sync got
the error shown below. Note that the field being complained
about is the date. There were about 250 records in the
database, all of which have a date and for which FileMaker
already validated it as a valid date.

Note: I reentered the data for this field on this one record
and re-synced and all was OK, however, I noticed that there
was an extra record on the Palm with a botched version of
the original record (the first two (three?) characters of each
field was missing). Not sure when this extra record
appeared.

On the positive side: I added a new field to the database and
another 25 or so records and resynced and it worked well;
just the one hiccup...

Note: I'm getting similar errors every once in a while, but not
consistently. Here is another record that failed this last sync, but
did not fail before. The data field (which it is complaining about)
had not changed, albeit other field(s) did.
