For the custom export feature a print monitor is used
which crashes on some machines. This makes the custom
export feature and printing in general unavailable.

Workaround for using printing anyway in case you encounter
    that problem:
    1) uninstall the FMC Visio stencils
    2) reinstall the FMC Visio stencils without the custom
    export feature

seemed to be related to Win XP without any Service Packs. Code was made more robust to detect possible causes for the crash.

reopened as it occurs frequently. Print Monitor is being rewritten.

This has been fixed. However there are crashes of the installer related to the printer. This has to with the installation routines not with the print monitor.

If it can help while uninstalling FMC from my PC I found that the FMCVisioPrintMonitor.dll file can not be removed. This was quite weird as it had no reason to stay alive. I donwloaded Project Explorer, a freeware tool and found that such DLL is loaded by the spoolsv.exe system process and is still alive after either Visio and FMC are uninstalled.
Not sure this may affect this problem but it seems clear to me that uninstalling has to be fixed for what is concenrning with that dll.

    Hope may help...
    Bye
