I got that info last night, but on my studio PC, which does run Gentoo, the emerge failed. I'm waiting for a response on the Gentoo-User list as to what went wrong. I tried it again this morning on a second Gentoo test machine in my lab here at work and emerge came up fine, so I think it must be a difference in the two kernels. The lab machine here is just a default compile, while the kernel on the studio machine has a large number of options chosen. I guess that throws the ebuild off somehow, but I'm not experienced enough to know how... Thanks again for your help and suggestions. Cheers, Mark |
