I’m delighted to see there seems to be some fresh interest in making models for FG scenery, so for new modellers here's a quick heads up about file sizes.

All the files for one model must be less than 2MB. If your files exceed 2MB they don't pass the automatic checking and never reach me for validation.

Please keep your file sizes as small as possible. I know that means some intricate details have to be lost, but large file sizes, particularly in heavily (model) populated areas like airports, can destroy usable frame rates for FGers who do not have top end computers.
