    Can't reproduce this in current Git next (2016.4.0) - is it specific to 2016.3.1 perhaps?

    Did you remove the pitot cover?
    Either on the left wing (red thing with "REMOVE BEFORE FLIGHT")
    or
    under Menu -> "Cessna 172P" -> "Aircraft Options" -> When the checkbox "Allow securing aircraft" is enabled -> Uncheck the option "Put pitot tube cover"

    Can confirm, I've removed my configs and it seem to work after that.

    I can confirm too, removing the config files under ~.fgfs solved the issue.
    I have fun with fgfs again :-)
