The new QT Launcher does not allow aircraft variants to be selected (like the -ER or -LR variants of the 777).
Versions:
present in Git HEAD right now, also in 2016.1.1
Steps to reproduce:
1. Start FlightGear with fgfs --launcher
.
2. If no aircraft with variants is available, open the Settings tab, click on Configure add-on aircraft and scenery... and, in the Additional aircraft locations box, add a directory containing one or more aircraft with variants (good candidates are the CRJ700 family or the Boeing 777 "Seattle".
3. Notice that it is impossible to select an aircraft variant (the CRJ-700 ER/LR or the 777-200 ER/LR), just the main -set.xml
file.
Hold on, list contains arrows, by clicking them you can select aircraft variant. Can be closed.
I just tested this and it seems to work (for aircraft downloaded via the package system). So is there still a bug here or not?
Still a bug if the aircraft is not downloaded via the package system, but loaded from disk (using the "Additional aircraft locations" option): if a variant is selected, the "Run" button stays disabled. It's the same issue wkitty42 experienced (see http://article.gmane.org/gmane.games.flightgear.devel/80785).
Confirmed still a bug. Even using svn FGAdon data.
I've tested again, seems fixed in the latest Git version (a1e81a2f).
@tonghuix, could you check again (if needed) and, if not, provide a test case so that I can check?
It works fine in 2016.2 git version!
