1.edit preferences.xml for default-field-of-view-deg setting to e.g. 85
or edit <aircraft>-set.xml for default-field-of-view-deg setting to e.g. 85

Cockpit view should have FOV as configured, still uses default 55/70 setting

Ctrl-x also ignores FOV setting (any view), LMB click in Mouse-View mode ignores FOV also (any view)
