Original Filesize

I was very excited to see this flickr backup tool. I
tend to keep my photos unorganized on my PC but I've
spent several hours organizing my photos and sets on
flickr. I wanted a tool to re-download the 'organized'
versions of my photos. This seemed to be amazing for that.
I was disspointed to find out that the original size
photo that flickr holds (2MB high quality) comes down
as a 200KB file when using this backup tool. Comparing
the two views shows considerable image degadation. Is
there a way to download the full size/uncompressed
original or has flickr made that impossible?

I'm confused by this. After reading this, I decided to
download ALL of my pictures and see what I got. I got ALL
837 of them and they are all in their orig size. I have
some that are 7MB in size from my 8MPixel camera.
Are you pictures in JPEG format when you upload them to
flickr? The only other thing that could be happening
(although I don't know how) is if FlickrBackup doesn't
really have read access to your account. But if you didn't
authenticate, it shouldn't do anything...So that can't be
it. Can you go to a photo(on flickr) and go to all sizes
and download your orig picture? Let me know.
