FlexWiki 2.0 Beta 2 Released

This is Beta 2 of FlexWiki 2.0. Major differences from Beta 1 include:

* SQL Server once again supported as a store.
* Improved SPAM protection via optional CAPTCHA requirements.
* Added ability to require HTTPS on a namespace-by-namespace basis.
* Multiple bug fixes.

The major remaining issue is performance: Beta 2
is significantly slower than the latest released
version of FlexWiki 1.8. Performance work is
ongoing, and significant improvements are expected
before 2.0 is released, but for now production
deployment is not recommended. ... read more

FlexWiki 2.0 Beta 1 Released

FlexWiki 2.0 Beta 1 has been released! A host of bugs have been fixed and one major new feature added. All features but one from FlexWiki 1.8 should now be working, including RSS feeds, newsletters, and the administration pages. Additionally, a new security model has been introduced (read more at http://www.flexwiki.com/default.aspx/FlexWiki/FlexWikiSecurity.html\).

The one thing that isn't working right now is the SQL Server provider. If you store your content on the filesystem (the default), you don't need the SQL Server provider. It will be reimplemented in Beta 2.

FlexWiki 2.0 Alpha 1 Released

This is alpha 1 of FlexWiki 2.0. It contains nothing in the way of new
functionality, but sports an extensively redesigned core that will
enable several new features to be implemented in the coming months. As
it is an alpha, bugs, crashes, and missing features are to be
expected: do not run this as your production wiki if you cannot
tolerate occasional problems.

This release requires ASP.NET 2.0. ... read more

FlexWiki 1.8.0.1739 Released

This is largely a bugfix release for FlexWiki 1.8. FlexWiki 1.8 is the last version that will be released for ASP.NET 1.1 - current work is against the 2.0 branch. However, the 2.0 code is still in alpha state, so 1.8.0.1739 is the recommended, official release of FlexWiki.

FlexWiki 1.8.0.1696 Released

This release is primarily a bugfix release, although several minor
features have been added. Basically, the fixes were piling up, and we
were telling people "go download the latest interim build" often
enough that we decided just to make it official. Highlights of this
build include:

* At long last the death of the "incorrect wiki links" bug, where
FlexWiki emitted links that corresponded to the first hit after
startup. This most frequently manifested itself as links pointing to
"localhost" even when the web server was accessed remotely.
* Null edits are now ignored.
* Slight performance enhancements, including the ability to turn off
performance counters (which can cause large delays on some
installations) via the DisablePerformanceCounters switch.
* Form support in WikiTalk... read more
